What’s periodized training?

Periodized training is a structured approach that divides your workouts into phases, meaning you’ll follow the same workouts for 3-6 weeks BEFORE changing it up, allowing you time to work on your form and progressively increase the weights to build upon previous gains. In GGE, each training phase has a clear focus— most of them emphasize hypertrophy (building muscle), but others are more focused on improving conditioning or bringing up strength. This structured approach keep things fun, ensures consistent progress, prevents burnout, and transforms your body and mind in more ways than just one. 

With the GGE training app, you can easily track your weights and reps, making progressive overload easy and tangible.

Achieving amazing results involves navigating numerous factors such as programming, lifting technique, repetitions, sets, rest periods, training intensity, cardio, nutrition, and more. Questions? Answers

  • anyone can join GGE (there are no pre-requisites per se) but keep in mind that the gym programming will involve equipment such as barbells, machines, cables, free-weights etc. There will be some education included in the community hub around lifting basics- but ultimately GGE is more ideal for women who have at least a SLIGHT lifting base (if you’ve done any of Tina’s premade programs, challenges, or are a past 1:1 client, you would be a great fit). If you’re completely new to weight-lifting, and want to learn the basics before hopping into GGE, Tina’s upcoming course FORM FOUNDATIONS would be an excellent place to start with the goal of eventually hopping into GGE.

  • GGE is a women’s lifting membership, so the primary focus/education will be around fitness (not nutrition). With that said, you will have access to a Nutrition Basics PDF inside the community hub which will give you TONS of good information to build a good nutrition base. You’re also welcome to ask general nutrition questions inside the community, but ultimately, this is not a nutrition-based membership.

  • premade programs are a once-off program purchase that are pre-written by Tina- each with their own unique style, intention & program length. They are app based and include some educational resources BUT there is no community, group-chat, or live group coaching element to premade programs- they are designed for the women who want the guesswork taken out for them and a game-plan to follow, but prefer to execute it independently (as there is no community element). GGE on the other hand is a community-oriented, subscription based membership. In GGE, the programming will be updated by Tina every 2-6 weeks and everyone in the membership will be doing the same workouts at the same time (think “challenge vibes” but without an end-date). GGE is ideal for long-term lifters who want somewhere they can settle in, get fit, build muscle, and foster connections.

  • Everyone in the GGE membership will have access to ALL four training splits in each training phase (4 day gym, 4 day home, 3 day gym, 3 day home), so essentially you will be creating your own calendar a-la-carte style in each training phase. With that said, it is recommended that you choose one out of the four training splits (ex: 4 day gym) and try to stick with that for the entire duration of a training phase to ensure best results, as progressive overload is much more efficient this way.

  • There are both monthly-recurring payment options ($25.99 billed every 4 weeks) and a 1x per year annual payment option ($249.99 per year). With that said, there is no “commitment” period for GGE. You can cancel your membership anytime.

  • inside the community hub, you will have access to a Cardio Basics presentation (this will give you a solid understanding of cardio). And then at the start of each new training phase, Tina will be providing recommendations on which style of cardio would pair best with what we’re heading into in the GGE programming. Additionally, because GGE is a 3 or 4 day per week lifting program (depending on which split you’re following), there are still tons of days left in the week where you can implement other fitness activities (yoga, pilates, hikes, walks etc). If you’re a hybrid girly who already loves fitness but also wants to incorporate lifting into your routine, following one of the 3-day splits in GGE would be the perfect addition to your routine.
